I don't imagine cleats as "go speedy" gear....I visualize them as security gear. I have witnessed a number of men and women fall and fall guns or slip and fall carrying hiking shoes when it would not happen whenever they were being wearing cleats. the one time I'v viewed them be described as a disadvantage was on stairs, platforms and so on that do
